Conservation 
Education

Comprehensive Outreach

  • Conducted in nine schools across three islands (Pagai Utara, Pagai Selatan, and Sipora).

  • Involved 519 students and 70 educators, engaging all levels of education.

Engaging Educational Activities

  • Interactive lessons on biodiversity, ecosystem roles, and conservation practices.

  • Visual and hands-on methods, including presentations, games, and creative activities like coloring contests.

  • Students learned about local primates such as the Bilou and Masepsep, emphasizing their ecological importance.

Measurable Impact

  • Pretests and posttests significantly increased student knowledge about conservation topics.

  • Students showcased active participation, with notable enthusiasm, during games and quizzes.

Innovative Learning Approaches

  • Use of multimedia tools like videos and laminated animal visuals.

  • Fun, competitive events like “Rangking 1” quizzes and team-building games to solidify learning.

Community Engagement

  • Collaboration with teachers ensured lessons were relatable and impactful.

  • Distributed educational materials like posters and incentives for active participation.

Promoting Environmental Actions

  • Students were encouraged to contribute to conservation through simple actions like waste management, reforestation, and protecting local fauna.
